At Wesbank Raceway on 3rd June 2007
Martin Jr. earned 3 points as well as having earned 3 at
Phakisa. Position: 12th Overall.
First race of the year at
Kyalami, 3rd March,
he came an overall 13th,
beating the next driver, from Durban, by more than 11 seconds on the
day.
In 2007
Martin Jr.
qualified 6th in the A1GP supporting race in Durban.
In 2006
Martin Jr.
ran
in the National Series only.
In the final two races, Killarney and Kyalami, Martin Jr.
came a highly credible 16th
in the field of over 30 cars.
His on track courtesies
earned him much respect from the older driving generation.
He entered only one Regional
Race, winning Class C on the day and was promoted to Class B.
In 2005 Martin Jr. Kruger came 3rd in Class A as well as 3rd in Class C
in the
Eastern Province Regional Championships. Also in the
LUK 3-hour he brought his
car home overall 5th.
(The Class C change came about as a result of his running his EngenCup VW
Polo.)
In 2004
he held the lap record
for local saloon cars at Scribante
with a 1:11.377.
In 2004 Martin Jr. put the RGT car in first place overall, first
in class and first in Index of Performance after his driving
stint in the 3-hour.
In both 2004 as well as 2003 the RGT Racing Golf came
1st in Class and 3rd Overall in the
LUK 3-hour race. |
In an awesome display of driving,
Calvin took first place overall
in the Regional race 8th September 2007.
Calvin Kruger also came 1st in his
first-ever raceday.
On 17th February 2007 (his sister's birthday) Calvin
entered his first racing fun day.
He came 2nd, 1st and 2nd
respectively in the three karting races, giving him an overall 1st
place for the day.
